Darksiders 3 UK Launch Sales: Only a Quarter of FS19’s
Darksiders 3 has unfortunately not managed to create a significant impression upon its release in the UK. It emerged as the 32nd in this week’s UK physical sales chart, with its boxed sales amounting to approximately a quarter of those earned by this year’s Farming Simulator.
Why make a comparison between Darksiders 3 and Farming Simulator 19? Well, this year’s farming simulation game just made its debut a week ago, and there were no other fresh releases in this latest chart.
Although we can directly compare Darksiders 3 with the boxed launch sales of its predecessor, Darksiders 2 (it sold roughly a seventh as many copies), this statistic is not entirely fair. Darksiders 2 was launched back in 2012, and thus the increase in digital sales, which would have slightly raised the actual total of Darksiders 3, is not accounted for.
Aside from the launch of Darksiders 3, there is not much else to highlight this week, except for a robust set of sales for games that made it to the top 10, driven by a strong Cyber Monday influence.
FIFA 19 maintained its Black Friday-powered position at the top of the chart, while Red Dead Redemption 2, in the second spot this week, continued to sell vigorously.
On the Switch platform, the combined sales of Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee have now surpassed the lifetime sales of Splatoon 2. These games are also now outselling Pokémon X and Y, despite having a slightly lower initial launch.
The complete top 10 is as follows:
- FIFA 19
- Rootin’ Tootin’ Cowboy Shootin’ 2
- COD Blops 4
- Battlefield 5
- Forza Horizon 4
- Spyro Reiginited Trilogy
- Pokémon Let’s Go: Pikachu
- Assassin’s Creed Orangery
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Fortnite: Deep Freeze edition
