Fallout 76: Exciting Updates & More
Bethesda has set a fresh release window for Fallout 76’s previously disclosed The Pitt expansion, affirming that the Fallout-3-inspired update will make its appearance sometime in this September.
Last June, the The Pitt expansion of Fallout 76 was announced for a 2022 release. Its arrival date was further narrowed down, specifically to this “autumn”, as indicated in the 2022 roadmap of February. However, during last night’s Xbox showcase, it moved even closer to obtaining a precise release date. Its new gameplay trailer announced a September launch.
Inspired by the second add-on for the highly regarded Fallout 3 from 2008, The Pitt will come as part of Fallout 76’s Season 10 update in September. This marks the first occasion where players will be capable of traveling beyond the boundaries of Appalachia in the online game.
Just as its name suggests, The Pitt is a city constructed on the remnants of post-nuclear Pittsburgh. Fallout 76 players will be able to unearth its secrets by undertaking Expeditions – essentially repeatable missions – that feature new NPCs and present new adversaries to combat. These expeditions will reward players with things like XP, loot, and legendary items.
Fallout 76, which was recently the subject of a disturbing report claiming that its development was marred by poor management and mandatory crunch, is currently in the middle of its 2022 roadmap. Its ninth season, A Dread Island Tale, is arriving tomorrow, 14th June, as part of the Test Your Metal update. Among other things, this introduces new public events such as Test Your Metal, Eviction Notice, and Moonshine Jamboree.
