Minecraft Enables Cross-Platform Fun
UPDATE: Minecraft’s “Better Together” update is set to make its grand entrance on Windows 10, iOS, Android, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and VR devices. However, PlayStation is notably absent from this lineup.
Microsoft had previously touched upon the prospect of cross-network play, indicating that the decision rested with Sony to give the green light. And, indeed, judging by this tweet from Minecraft spokesperson Aubrey Norris, the eagerness to have PlayStation join the party is palpable:

ORIGINAL STORY: This summer, Minecraft is slated to embrace cross-platform play, uniting the PC, mobile, VR, and console editions of the game.
Microsoft did not provide a detailed rundown of precisely which consoles would be encompassed, but an on-screen trailer showcased a chunky Nintendo Switch build, hinting that Nintendo has signed on the dotted line.
This autumn, a significantly enhanced graphical option will be made accessible through the “Super Duper” graphical update, presumably synchronized with the launch of Xbox One X.
It incorporates bloom lighting, more lifelike textures, and what appears to be an increased draw distance. Presumably, it will also be available on PC as well as the newly christened Xbox One X.
