Star Wars Battlefront 2: Updates and Issues 或者 Star Wars Battlefront 2: News and Challenges
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 continues to receive substantial updates even two years after its tumultuous debut. And come December, it will receive another major update to align with the movie The Rise of Skywalker.
DICE has presented a fresh roadmap for the game, meticulously detailing new maps and modes.
In September, Battlefront 2 welcomes a new large-scape map named Felucia. The official description reads as follows: “The Separatists’ invasion of Felucia is drawing to a close on this map. With only a solitary, potent vehicle remaining to facilitate the evacuation of a Felucian farming community, the clones strive to uphold their final line of defense long enough for Republic transports to gather a substantial cache of precious medicinal plants from the village. However, as the droids advance towards the clones’ position, the squad decides to take the offensive and demolish the dreadnought accountable for the attack. Nevertheless, the droids have a scheme of their own: Ensure the Republic cannot escape with the plants by bringing down their Venator.”
Also in September, two new modes will be introduced. The first is Co-op, a PvE mode for squads of up to four players. The second is dubbed Instant Action, a large-scale mode “that can be relished within a single-player setting”. Here are the specifics: “It will incorporate the Supremacy element of Capital Supremacy (the planetary phase) and enable you to experience it on your own. At launch, you will have access to all the maps currently available in Capital Supremacy: Naboo, Kamino, Kashyyyk, Geonosis, and Felucia.”
Then in December, Battlefront 2 will be infused with The Rise of Skywalker-inspired content, though DICE is keeping the details under wraps for the time being. “We are incredibly thrilled that content related to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is making its way to the game!” DICE stated. “We are not yet ready to delve deeper into this matter, but we will disclose more particulars about it as soon as we can.”
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 endured a widely documented and calamitous launch when it was released in November 2017. Nevertheless, DICE has persisted in updating the game, and it is currently in a favorable state.
