This New Digimon Survive: Gameplay Revealed A Survival-Sim RPG with New Digimon Game
Bandai Namco has unveiled a fresh gameplay trailer for its forthcoming tactical battler, Digimon Survive, which is set to be released on July 29th, 2022.
Digimon Survive – which “harmoniously combines visual novel storytelling with tactical battle elements” – has been a long-awaited title, having been officially postponed three times to “allocate additional time for development” and “elevate the quality of the game”.
Boasting over 100 Digimon, this newest installment in the Digimon series showcases a world map that is partitioned into areas and locations. You’ll need to scan these areas to discover “glitches” for clues and items.
“Digimon Survive masterfully blends visual novel storytelling with tactical battle elements!” Bandai Namco elucidates as the video reveals how our dialogue choices will shape the story.
“From the might of choice to the power of Digivolution, take a glimpse at Digimon Survive’s gameplay system!”
Digimon Survive was initially announced in 2018 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Digimon anime. Back then, at the very least, it was slated to feature anime heroes Takuma and Agumon and enable you to “craft your own story and battle your way back home”. This monster-battling tactical role-playing game was initially intended to launch for PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One in 2019. However, it was subsequently pushed back to 2020, and then once more to 2022.
It is now set to be released on the same day as another JRPG, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, later this month.
